St. Louis High School Students are getting prepared for homecoming with creative Homecoming proposals!
The most common way to be asked to homecoming is the classic poster. With homecoming right around the corner, many students have already been asked to homecoming or asked somebody to homecoming! In fact, sophomore Jackson Shattuck recently asked his girlfriend to the dance. He said, “I asked her with a poster after school. I’m excited for homecoming, but I wish we had the ‘Jungle Cruise’ theme instead of ‘Fairytale’.”
It was a great night for homecoming proposals Sept. 18, at the volleyball game! Multiple volleyball players were asked to homecoming that night. Sophomore Scottlynn Francisco was one of the players who were asked. Drew Challender asked her with a poster after her volleyball game. Francisco was elated by his adorable poster. In fact, she said, “Even though I knew I was getting asked prior, I didn’t know what came over me, and I couldn’t contain my excitement jumping up and down in joy.” Francisco later explained that she loves the ‘Fairytale’ theme of homecoming this year, and is very excited to see everyone’s dresses!
Ashleigh Devine, a freshman at St. Louis High School, had some thoughts about homecoming proposals. She said, “I’m not sure how I would like to be asked to the homecoming dance. I’m just going with friends. I’m excited for homecoming. I think the theme will be really good.”
Senior Claire Hubble shared how she would like to be asked to homecoming. “I would probably want to be asked with a funny sign with an original pickup line, something that’s not overused.” Hubble later explained that she likes seeing the different ways people “propose” for homecoming and the drama that comes with it.
The homecoming game is Oct. 6, with the homecoming dance the following day Oct. 7. While the homecoming spirit days have yet to be announced, many other homecoming festivities are taking place that week! The powderpuff game is an amazing event to look forward to, as well as the parade, volleybuff, the assembly, and many more!
