Senior Diamond Neph received the Best Script award at the MACTV Monster Movie Competition Monday, Oct. 29, at Celebration Cinemas in Mt. Pleasant. The competition began at 7 pm, showcasing 14 different homemade movies involving monsters. All films had to be under 10 minutes.

“My movie was called Dumb Horror. The main plot revolves around two characters; one is an electrician, and one is a homeowner whose house is haunted,” Neph said. “The homeowner is lazy and tries to get the electrician to solve the problem, even though he isn’t qualified.”

Neph’s short film can be found at https://vimeo.com/298030052. This link is a compilation of all of the movies presented; Neph’s starts at 26:46.

“I was incredibly proud of how the movie turned out,” Neph continued. “I submitted one last year, and I was proud of that one for different reasons. This year, I really stepped up my game. I’m extremely happy how this one turned out.”

Congratulations to Diamond Neph on all of his hard work!
