As the new school year started at St. Louis High School, memories of last year arrived in the form of 2022 Yearbooks, as students began picking up their yearbooks Friday, Sept. 8. Excitement was visible in the faces of students everywhere as groups huddled together during lunch for a first glimpse of the book.
The black cover with large words read, “What Defines Us”, which was the 2022 yearbook theme, one that seems to be very popular with the students.
Sophomore Gracie Lombard said, “I love the yearbook! It’s always super pretty and the theme was great this year.” Another student, senior Olivia Good, said, “I always love getting my yearbook, it’s so much fun getting to reminisce on the past year.”
The yearbook staff shared the same excitement as their peers after their hard work last year. In fact, senior Mckenzie Smith said, “I think it’s super exciting to see people looking at their yearbooks in class!” The staff are already hard at work on their 2023 yearbook in Ms. Reeves’s class.
Some of the featured sections students like the most are the animal lovers section, which displays some of the students and their furry friends. Another section that seems to be quite popular is the mock elections. Students loved seeing who won “Always Late” and “Best Bromance” of 2022. Students are already hoping to make an appearance on this year’s mock election.
Yearbooks are available for students to pick up in Ms. Reeves’s room during health break or lunch, and it won’t be long until students will be ordering their 2023 yearbooks.
