Seen some decoration in the senior hallway? That’s because senior Lexie Thayer decided to customize the senior lockers for others, as well as herself.
“I choose to decorate lockers because I love school spirit and arts and crafts,” Thayer stated. Thayer also commented that her favorite locker she customized so far is probably Natalie Lemert’s, but the one she’s working on right now, Carson Butcher’s, is pretty promising. Lemert states, “I love the way my name looks on my locker.” Lemert also commented that she picked her idea because Thayer gave that idea and running is really important to her.
Another senior who has her locker decorated is Rowan Harris. Harris said Thayer and her share a locker and that Thayer went with a Spongebob theme, and Harris loved that idea.
Thayer thinks there aren’t certain qualities that make a good locker, and instead she thinks every locker’s beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. She chose to decorate the lockers depending on how cool the idea is, or whatever inspires her the most.
Thayer hopes to become a teacher and she hopes to pursue her talent of art in her classroom. For her, creating the senior lockers will be great practice.
Harris thinks her locker shows her personality and it’s recognizable to her. “I love being able to see it when I’m walking in the hallway.”
