Freshman Kenzie Davidson recently attended Taylor Swift’s: The Eras Tour June 9 at the Ford Field in Detroit.
The Eras Tour has taken cities by storm as Swift travels all around the United States (as well as a few other countries) performing songs from all of her ten albums.
St. Louis High School student Kenzie Davidson attended this concert, which was very hard to get tickets for. In fact, Davidson said, “The experience of the concert was amazing, although I cannot compare it to another concert because this was my first concert. It was a very emotional experience with both sad and upbeat songs throughout the concert. Something special about my experience was our seats. Even though floor seats would be way more exciting, we had a suite. It was filled with snacks and drinks and had very comfortable seats too.”
The Taylor Swift tour experience is very unique and eventful. Fans at The Eras Tour dress in elaborate costumes representing one of Swift’s albums, music videos, tour outfits, etc. Many of Swift’s fans also make friendship bracelets to trade with fellow fans at the concert. The fans at The Eras Tour were so into the music that during the tour they caused seismic activity at a concert in Seattle, which was approximately equal to a 2.3 magnitude earthquake.
While Davidson may have been lucky enough to be able to experience Swift live on tour, most fans were unable to get their hands on tickets. This is why many fans are very excited that The Eras Tour: Concert Film will be coming to participating theaters Oct. 13. Tickets for the movie are on presale and being sold extremely fast. In fact, The Eras Tour: Concert Film recently beat AMC’s previous presale record. The previous record had been set by Spider Man: No Way Home at $16.9 million. The new movie skyrocketed with a presale record of $26 million. For those who are interested, the NCG cinema in Alma will be showing The Eras Tour: Concert Film starting Oct. 13, so as Taylor Swift would ask, “…Ready For It?”
