The Saint Louis Golf team started their season strong at the Ithaca fall swing invitational Aug. 24. The team was led with the best score of 89, which was from senior Josie Schrot.
The Sharks, coached by Mrs. Biehl, have been working hard this season. Many seniors have been putting in the work for their last season of their high school career, including Schrot.
“This past tournament I beat my personal record, and then I shot a 89, which led me to place third overall,” Schrot stated.
Schrot also commented that her favorite thing about golf is how well the team is connected to each other, and she is so excited for this year.
The golf coach Biehl also stated that the girls are off to a good start, have already competed in five 18 hole invites so far and they’re starting to improve.
Senior Natalee Hoyt finished in 10th place overall at Ithaca. The girls golf team hosted its first TVC Jamboree, Aug. 30 and finished third place overall and first on its side of the conference There are four new golfers including Alecia and Aaliyah Villarreal, Devine Francisco, and Grace Devine. The girls are back in action at Pine River, Thursday, Sept. 7.
