The St. Louis varsity volleyball took a big win against Saginaw Nouvel Thursday, Oct. 11, at Saginaw Nouvel High School.

According to Megan Greenup, “The Nouvel game wasn’t our best performance, but from here it will only go uphill with districts starting in two weeks The team is really starting to work together and we are planning for a great rest of the season.”

With the girls being undefeated in the league, this win was crucial. The Lady Sharks have captured many league, district, regional, and even state titles in the past two decades and are hoping to have have a very successful season. In order to obtain a goal of being conference champions, the Sharks need to keep the win streak remaining. The team pulled out this victory against the Panthers in three straight sets of 25-21, 25-19, and 25-17.

“Even though we didn’t do our best, we still played well as a team and got done what we needed to get done. Being a part of this team is a huge honor, and we will come back even stronger next Wednesday against Valley Lutheran,” said senior Aubrey Sherwood.

The Lady Sharks compete against one of their biggest rivals, Valley Lutheran, Wednesday, Oct. 17, in our home gym at 7 p.m.
