The St. Louis High School Marching Band took second place in their division at the Alma College Marching Invitational Saturday, Oct. 6 at Alma College. The band received honors in auxiliary, marching, and music as well as their second place title. Nine schools in total were in attendance.

According to Ms. Livingston, the band director, “I feel like the band performed very well. The judges gave us a lot of very good feedback. I’m really excited to take the band back next year. We’re going to fight for first place!”

Dylan Crandall commented, “I feel like the place we got was okay. We could have done better if people would have focused more. They didn’t try their hardest. I’m glad we got second place; we did pretty well.”

This is the marching band’s only competition for the season.

Your article was short but good. I think your article was good and i like the quotes you got.

    Dear Sarah Humphrey,
I find that you tell plenty of good information within the short paragraph. However, it was quite short. Four paragraphs are probably not enough considering that is a paragraph is three to five sentences long and you have one paragraph that is one sentence. Perhaps you should include more than one student? (I understand though since you have such aggressive schedule.)
    Forever a critic,
    Demetrius Alspaugh
