This year, Mrs. Sura came back to St.Louis High School because she missed how close the staff and students were.

“I loved working here 20 years ago, and I am so happy to be back!” said Mrs. Terre Sura. Twenty years ago when she was working here she was an English teacher in what is now Ms. Busch-Grabmeyer’s room.

She worked at Ithaca Junior- Senior High School also as the school counselor. Now she is back at St.Louis High School as the counselor for 9-12 grade. In 2000-2002, she was an English teacher here at SLHS. She went to Alma college, but completed her master’s degree at Central Michigan University. Her hobbies are spending time with friends and family, going to Michigan State sporting events, and being around animals. She currently lives on an alpaca farm.

“Mrs. Sura is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. She has helped hundreds of kids, and been there for all of them,” said Landen Spencer.

Her way of helping students is amazing! She will go out of her way to help kids with emotional problems, and she will keep kids for hours if she needs to. She makes sure that students have everything they need and never fails to put a smile on their face. She also makes sure to go out of her way to help kids.

Freshman student, Tekoha Henry said, “Even though I don’t talk to her (much) I feel like I would be comfortable talking with her.” It is good that students here feel comfortable enough to talk with staff, especially the counselor.

Students who need people like Mrs. Sura in the world and in schools. The world works a lot better when it has generous and kind souls living in it.
