The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers was first premiered March 26, and is now available to watch on Disney+.

Now, a powerhouse in its division, the Mighty Ducks junior hockey team is selective about who makes the cut. After failing to make the cut to join, Evan’s mother encourages him to form a new team of underdogs with help from Gordon Bombay, the Ducks’ original coach. The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers is a sports comedy-drama television series based on the 1992 film.

According to Datebook, “In many ways, “Game Changers” is a perfect series for the streaming age. It taps into a well of nostalgia in a space more suitable to niche audiences than network television or the big screen. After all, the mid-’90s heyday of Disney’s “Mighty Ducks” trilogy represents a very specific sweet spot for those who watched in theaters as the titular team of peewee hockey players went from also-rans to champ.

Evelynn Gutierrez stated, “This was a really good movie. It was mostly funny, and I was really pulled into the movie at the very beginning. I would recommend others to watch it because it has a lot of nostalgia,  and it is overall a really good movie. My favorite character was Nick because I just thought that he was really funny. I would say it compares to the older movies but with a 2021 twist to it.”
