St. Louis Girls’ Golf competed at a TVC Jamboree Thursday, Sept. 3, at Bay Valley Resort. There were nine teams present and they finished third overall, behind Frankenmuth and Freeland. The team score was 224 with John Glenn finishing right behind with a 225.

According to Andrea Biehl, the girls’ golf coach, she’s “very proud of the girls. The course was long, hilly, and tree-lined. They weren’t able to pull their drivers out on most holes and they had to really think through what a smart club choice would be.”

Natalee Hoyt, a freshman at St. Louis, added, “I really have no past experiences with golf unless you count playing putt-putt with my family. I golfed nine holes once before the season started.” Natalee also mentioned one of her goals this season was to keep her scores consistent and learn which clubs to use.

The ladies did great at the TVC Jamboree and competed again Wednesday, Sept, 9, at a home Jamboree.
